Earlier this evening, I was searching for a few images on my hard drive, and I came across this session from last year that I never blogged. I was absolutely shocked, because this is one of my all-time favorite not-quite-newborn sessions!
When Emma’a mama contacted me for a session, I was a wee bit nervous, because she mentioned that her beautiful baby girl was a little bit older than my usual newborn. She contacted me when Emma was about 3 weeks old, and since they were coming in from out of state, the session would have to be scheduled around their visit. She was about 6 weeks old on the date of our session, which can sometimes be a bit tricky (older babies don’t always sleep as well, but they’re not yet old enough to smile for the camera on cue). I really shouldn’t have worried, though. She was the sweetest, most easy-going baby I’ve ever met. And absolutely gorgeous! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful pair of lips on a baby – and her peaches and cream coloring is just stunning!
She slept like a champ for the first part of our session, and allowed me to capture her sleeping with some of my very favorite props and backgrounds. Towards the end of the session, she woke up, and she was just as happy as could be. She gave me beautiful eye contact with those lovely baby blues of hers, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the images we captured from her session.
